The competition of all competitions, the beautiful song that is played so often by our skating members, the rink where new records are broken. On March 11th it was time for SoftEls: skating in Thialf! There have never been so many registrations from E.S.S.V. Isis. We traveled to Heereveen with no fewer than 22 people. It soon became clear in the car that you MUST get a pr to earn an ice cream from the Maccie. Easy peasy lemon squeezy (well of course we trained hard): there were no less than 33 new records!
However, this was not possible without the organization of SoftEls, because they had to free the boys of the A group from Thialf's gym. Anyway, there is so much to tell about the times and stories, luckily the Crisis has written a piece about the game and an analysis of all the games over the years.
In the end, 6 podium places were achieved by E.S.S.V. Isis. Afterward, as usual, all songs of all participating student skating associations were sung together (Arthur continued until he was outside). And then, finally, it was time for another well-deserved ice: on to the Mac to end the day! |
